活石堂是1976年，福音由美里传入之后,开始茁壮成长的堂会。
来自尼亚石山的倪可妃，在美里修完中学九号，被教会派往马鲁帝恩惠堂事奉，从而激起了她对家乡教会的异象。教会便在她的家开始举行聚会。
1986年租用商店楼上聚会。
1989年教堂落成。当时，原计划要将布道处升为堂会，建议称为「颂恩堂」。但由于会友人数不足，没有成功成为堂会。
今天，它已是「活石堂」了。
